Breez SDK Lets Bitcoin Users Send USDT and USDC Across 30+ Networks

Breez SDK enables Bitcoin users to send USDT and USDC across more than 30 networks. Lightning and automated conversion simplify cross-chain stablecoin payments from Bitcoin. Non-custodial design keeps Bitcoin in user wallets until each payment is initiated. Breez has introduced a new feature for its software development kit (SDK) that enables Bitcoin users to send USDT and USDC across more than 30 blockchain networks. The update simplifies cross-chain payments by allowing users to spend directly from their Bitcoin balances while recipients receive stablecoins on their preferred blockchain. Bitcoin Payments Expand Beyond Native Networks Breez announced that the new capability is available through its SDK, which powers Lightning Network applications built by wallet providers and developers. The feature removes the need for users to convert Bitcoin into stablecoins before making payments. Instead, users can initiate transfers directly from their Bitcoin balance using a single interface. Recipients receive either USDT or USDC on their selected blockchain without requiring additional steps from the sender. The company stated that the service currently supports outbound stablecoin transfers across more than 30 blockchain networks. However, inbound stablecoin functionality is planned for a future software release. Introducing Send USDT/USDC for the Breez SDK 🔥 Bitcoin can now reach anyone. Even the people who live on dollars. Any app or service can send dollars across 30+ networks, instantly, straight from a bitcoin balance. One balance, no second network to manage. Users continue holding Bitcoin until the transaction begins, reducing the need to maintain separate stablecoin wallets. The announcement also highlights growing demand for payment tools that connect Bitcoin with widely used dollar-backed digital assets. Consequently, developers can offer broader payment options without integrating multiple blockchain infrastructures independently. Automated Conversion Simplifies Cross-Chain Transfers The new payment process relies on the Lightning Network together with automated asset conversion. After entering a recipient’s wallet address, the SDK identifies the destination blockchain and calculates the required conversion route. Before confirming the payment, users receive a summary showing the transfer amount, supported network, and estimated transaction fees. This allows them to review payment details before completing the transaction. Following approval, liquidity providers, including Flashnet and Boltz convert the Bitcoin into either USDT or USDC. The stablecoins are then delivered directly to the recipient on the selected blockchain. Breez CEO Roy Sheinfeld said the process does not require stablecoins to exist on the Lightning Network itself. Instead, interoperability between payment infrastructure and liquidity providers enables seamless conversion during settlement. The company noted that more than 75 applications, including Cake Wallet and Deblock, already integrate the Breez SDK. Therefore, developers can immediately access the new functionality without major infrastructure changes. The latest release also supports payment use cases such as remittances, digital wallets, and financial applications serving users across different blockchain ecosystems.  As stablecoin adoption continues expanding worldwide, the feature could strengthen Bitcoin’s role in cross-chain digital payments while simplifying the overall user experience.
