Morpho Goes Mainstream With Robinhood Crypto Integration

Robinhood Crypto launched Earn using Morpho to simplify DeFi yield for eligible users. Morpho powers Robinhood’s Layer 2 lending with curated institutional lending vaults. Morpho expands institutional reach with over $11B managed and major fintech partnerships. Robinhood Crypto has launched its new Earn product using Morpho’s decentralized lending infrastructure, marking another step toward broader institutional adoption of decentralized finance. The integration follows Robinhood’s Layer 2 mainnet launch and positions Morpho as the technology powering yield generation for eligible users. Robinhood Earn Uses Morpho Infrastructure Robinhood Crypto introduced its Earn product by integrating Morpho’s lending protocol into its newly launched Layer 2 blockchain network. Eligible users can earn yield by holding USDG stablecoins directly within the Robinhood application. Deposited USDG automatically enters a Morpho Vault operating on Robinhood Chain, which is built using Arbitrum technology. Consequently, users gain access to decentralized lending without interacting directly with multiple blockchain applications. The vault is managed by Steakhouse Financial, which selects lending opportunities based on risk management and expected returns. Meanwhile, deposited assets become available to institutional borrowers through decentralized lending markets. It's official. Interest generated from these loans is then distributed to participating Robinhood Earn users. Robinhood Crypto said the integration simplifies access to decentralized yield while maintaining a familiar user experience. Therefore, users can participate in blockchain-based lending without managing complex decentralized finance processes. The integration coincided with Robinhood’s rollout of its Ethereum Layer 2 network, expanding the company’s blockchain infrastructure. As a result, Morpho now powers one of Robinhood’s newest crypto-focused financial services. Institutional Adoption Continues to Expand The Robinhood partnership adds another major company using Morpho’s decentralized lending technology for financial products. Previously, Coinbase, Bitwise Asset Management, Société Générale, and MetaMask also adopted Morpho infrastructure for blockchain-based services. Morpho co-founder Paul Frambot said decentralized finance infrastructure allows companies to build transparent financial products using open networks. Meanwhile, Robinhood selected Morpho instead of developing a proprietary lending platform. The latest collaboration follows Morpho’s recent funding expansion, strengthening its long-term institutional growth strategy. Earlier this year, the protocol completed a $175 million funding round led by Paradigm, a16z crypto, and Ribbit. Additional investors included Apollo Funds, Circle Ventures, and VanEck, bringing Morpho’s total capital raised above $250 million. Furthermore, the company stated the funding would accelerate partnerships with established financial and technology brands. Morpho currently manages more than $11 billion in deposits across its decentralized lending ecosystem. The Robinhood integration further expands its presence among regulated financial institutions entering decentralized finance. The announcement also reflects growing interest from traditional financial companies seeking blockchain infrastructure for consumer products. As institutional participation increases, decentralized lending protocols continue supporting services designed for mainstream retail users.
